Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women: A Conversation with Valaura Imus-Nahsonhoya In-Person

Please join Valaura Imus-Nahsonhoya (Hopi Tribe) is the Executive Director with Honwungsi Consulting Services, LLC and Chief Executive Officer of Omauw Resource Center, 501(c)3. She also has eighteen (18) years of direct victim services to crime victims, working in Tribal communities addressing historical trauma and trauma informed practices.Employed with National Criminal Justice Training Center of Fox Valley Technical College by the Office for Victims of Crime, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.  She will be speaking about the ongoing crisis of murdered and missing Indigenous women in Arizona.

This presentation is hosted by NAU-Yuma in partnership with AWC Academic Library.  It will meet in person in the Academic Library DH Conference room.  Seating is limited.
